Sta-Clean Water Treatment

When a grape grower makes the bold step from furrow to drip irrigation, you can bet they will never look back...except maybe to wonder why they didn't make the move earlier.

Let's take a look at the top three benefits:

Putting the Water & Nutrients
Where They Are Needed

  • Uniform water distribution : Drip provides every vine with the same amount of water. With furrow irrigation, the vines at the head of the ditch get more water than the ones at the end.

  • Uniform fertilizer application : Drip is an extremely even and inexpensive way to apply potassium, zinc, nitrogen and whatever else the vines may need. And you're applying to where the vine will use it...where the roots are.

  • ...At the Roots

Control : Drip gives you the ability to irrigate more during an unexpected hot spell, or less, during a cooling trend. It also allows you to irrigate through harvest. This could save you a significant amount of money in shrinkage. Another control feature is the ability to sulfur, or apply foliar sprays with a ground sprayer whenever necessary.

Remember, these are just three of the benefits of drip. If they sound too good to be true, just ask any grower who has switched from furrow to drip, and you too will believe it is the only way to "grow".
